Sri Ramachandra University Emergency Department (ED) provides emergency service to all patients who present for evaluation and treatment, regardless of age, complaint, or ability to pay. Services provided include care across the continuum, from the severely ill or injured, to those with minor problems. Specially trained staff and resources are available 24 hours a day, every day of the year, to evaluate and treat all disease processes.

The patients comprise of High acuity population (approximately 80% of our population is urgent or emergent)

• Approximately 70% of patients seen in the ED are admitted to the hospital
