The department of Accident & Emergency Medicine offers emergency and critical care services provided by qualified Emergency Physicians round the clock along with residents in emergency medicine and emergency trauma care technologists apart from nursing staff. The department has all facilities to manage cardiac arrest, polytrauma & obstetrical emergencies. The department also runs an ambulance service, which has both monitoring as well as resuscitative equipment needed for effective and timely pre hospital care.

The emergency physicians are well supported by specialists from other departments at all times. The Emergency department has 15 beds with 5 more beds for observation and further management.All the radiological imaging modalities are available adjacent to the emergency room and available for 24 hrs. There is a 2 bedded operation theatre attached to emergency room.
