Anaesthesia services are provided round-the-clock, seven days a week with 25 operating rooms and 3 intensive care units. The operating rooms complex caters to general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, gynaecology, ENT, ophthalmology, urology, plastic surgery, pediatric surgery and gastroenterology surgeries. Anesthesiology postgraduates are given academic teaching programmes and hands on training on clinical skills.

The sub specialties include Cardiac Anaesthesia, which encompasses a wide range of cardiac surgery from complex congenital newborn surgery to adult cardiac surgery including advanced techniques like minimally invasive surgery and cardiac transplantation. The anaesthesiologists give Intra operative and post-operative intensive care to the patients. The cardiac surgical intensive care unit is a 14-bedded high-technology unit with sophisticated monitoring facilities, which includes TEE and continuous cardiac output monitoring. A 3-year DM- Cardiac Anesthesiology course is being offered. There are three operating rooms with state-of-the-art facilities, performing 5 - 6 surgeries a day.

Neuro Surgical Anaesthesia is another specialty which boasts the services of highly skilled neuro surgeons in neuro vascular and tumor surgery. There are also facilities for monitoring evoked potentials during surgery. The hospital, being situated on a busy high way, gives the neuro surgeons a lot of exposure to neuro surgical trauma care. Anesthesiology services are also provided for interventional neuroradiological procedures.

There are a total of 104 intensive care beds with state-of-the-art monitoring facilities. Of these, besides the post-cardiac surgical intensive care unit, is a 33-bedded multi disciplinary unit directly under anaesthesia care. Here, the Anaesthesia department takes care of medical and surgical emergencies including poisoning, bleeding, stroke as well as postoperative critical care patients. A comprehensive DM – Critical Care super specialty programme is being run successfully.
