The department of Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism was created in 2005. Prof Krishna Seshadri has been appointed as Head of the Department.

The pediatric endocrinology clinic that has been created in 2005 will focus on disorders of growth, obesity, childhood diabetes and puberty is started in 2005

The free outpatient clinic functions at the outpatient department from Monday to Friday

The free Endocrinology clinic functions at the outpatient department on all Tuesdays and Fridays

Quality Indicators

In order to ensure adequate and appropriate care to the patients who are coming to the free Diabetes Clinic, the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism has introduced the following three indicators for diabetes care:
  • Percentage of patients who have been prescribed Aspirin

  • Percentage of patients who have had foot examination documented

  • Percentage of patients who have had BP measured
