The department of General Medicine, a part of Sri Ramachandra University is a educationally rigorous, diverse yet team oriented department. It has 7 professors and 15 asst professors. Our department offers a unique learning opportunity with 2 core Hospitals-- Medical Center and medical college hospital. These hospitals offer diverse patient population. Which is an opportunity to develop excellent clinical skills.

The physicians of Sri Ramachandra University are committed to applying the latest medical knowledge and technology to meet the needs of our patients. Our staff work closely with medical students, CRRI’s and postgraduates, who are an integral part of the health care team in the department who actively involve in the treatment. Patient care is carried out under the close supervision and guidance, of a senior staff physician.

In addition to teaching and patient care we believe that research is the core to the development of the department. CRRIS and postgraduates are encouraged to participate along with the faculty in research activity during their training period. This has proven to be a highly successful program with CRRIS and postgraduates, making a number of presentations in regional, national and international scientific meetings.

Our departmental staff extend a whole hearted helping hand to the medical needs of the society .by actively participating in government NGO organized health camps .
