Department of General surgery is a full fledged department with seven units functioning all seven days a week providing round the clock service. The faculty in the department, apart from routine general surgical work, regularly perform basic & advanced Laparoscopic work. Ours is the First teaching hospital in Tamilnadu to provide laparoscopic surgery. We have also developed special interest in advanced care in the following areas:
