A free asthma camp for children under 18 is being organized on 6th or 7th of May by the Department of Paediatrics of Sri Ramachandra University, Porur, in association with the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, Chennai. Children with recurrent and persistent cough, respiratory difficulty or wheeze will be screened for asthma at the OPD of the Department of Paediatrics. Consultation and basic investigations will be done free of cost. For registration by phone please contact 9840294333/9843143520. Patients can also walk in anytime between 8 a.m. and 12 noon on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The first Tuesday of May every year is observed as World Asthma Day.
