PRESS RELEASE
Chennai, Dr. G. Sengottuvelu, Associate Professor of Cardiology, Sri Ramachandra University, has received the first prize of Young Interventionalist Award of the Asian Interventional Cardiovascular Therapeutics (AICT) at its fourth conference in Baiigkok last Saturday. The award was presented to him by Dr. Ycan Leng Jim of the University of Melbourne, Australia. Dr.Sengottuvelu was one of the six finalists from India, China, Japan and ThailaM. His angioplasty procedure done on a 50 year old patient at Sri Ramachandra Hospital in 2006 was adjudged the best for which he was given a certificate, trophy and a cash prize.
