SRMC EXPANDS TELEMEDICINE SERVICE IN NORTH EAST

Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre is opening a telemedicine and information centre in Guwahati on Sunday (Nov 4) to provide cost effective, modern, hitech health care to patients in the north east region. Teleconsultation will he provided daily by reputed consultants in various specialties.

Besides consultation camps vill also be held by specialists in cardiology, neurology & neuro surgery, nephrology, urology & transplant services. interventional neuro radiology, orthopaedics and joint rep]acemcnt surgery, spine surgery, arthroscopy, infertility, endocrinology and paediatric surgery. SRMC already has similar units at Kolkata, Siliguri and Durgapur.


This will help patients in the east and the north cast to recdve consultations at their doorstep, facilitate admission at SRMC, Chennai, treatment and early discharge, by having pre and post treatment consultation and follow up through tefemedicine.


Sri Ramachandra University plans to enhance these facilities by having teJe-link connections with medical colleges and hospitals in Assam for education to students, patients and peers. SRU already has such tic ups in Jammu & Kashmir, Von Blair, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhrapradesh.
