Program Objectives
At the end of the conference the participant will be able to:
- Recognize the growing chasm between the needs of health care and the delivery of medical (and other health care) education
- Recognize the health care needs of the worlds and the nations’ underserved population
- Recognize the challenges of being a physician in a “flat world”
- Recognize the curricular challenges to bridge the gap
- Develop strategies to create a health care need oriented medical education curriculum
- Develop strategies to create community oriented medical curriculum
- Develop strategies to prepare medical students to becoming globally competitive
